Battery Ordinance

According to § 12 sentence 1 no. 1-3 BattV (Regulation on the return and disposal of used batteries and accumulators (BattVO) of March 27, 1998 (BGBl. I. S. 658)) we refer as a vendor that the customer as an end user is legally obligated to return used batteries. Batteries can be returned free of charge after use to the vendor or in his immediate vicinity. If batteries are sent to the seller, the package must be sufficiently stamped.

The following symbol

 

means that these batteries contain heavy metals and harmful substances and must not be disposed of with ordinary household or commercial waste. The abbreviations below the symbol mean: „Cd“ (Cadmium), „Li“ (Lithium) / „Li-Ion“ (Lithium-Ionen), „Ni“ (Nickel), „Mh“ (Metallhydride), „Pb“ (Lead), „Zi“ (Zinc).
